Growing up as the son of a dentist, dentistry has always been a part of my life. In fact, I can trace my own journey into the profession back to a high school basketball game when I broke my front tooth in half. My dad repaired it immediately after the game, and seeing the impact dentistry could have on someone's confidence and well-being sparked something in me. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to become a dentist.

Dentistry is a natural reflection of who I am. It allows me to combine professionalism, integrity, and compassion while building meaningful relationships with people from all walks of life. I've always enjoyed helping others and making people feel comfortable, and I strive to bring that same approach to every patient interaction.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping patients overcome their fear of dentistry. Watching someone who once felt anxious about dental visits gain confidence and trust is incredibly meaningful. I also love seeing the positive changes that come from restoring a smile. Whether improving oral health, relieving discomfort, or enhancing confidence, I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives every day.

Education

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) Biology major, Pepperdine University
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), University of Washington School of Dentistry

I am committed to lifelong learning and regularly participate in continuing education courses to stay current with the latest techniques, technology, and treatment options. Continuing education allows me to expand my skills, evaluate new procedures, and offer a broader range of services in our office. Most importantly, it helps me provide a better patient experience and achieve the best possible outcomes for those I serve.

Professional Memberships

I remain actively involved in several local and state dental organizations, attend lectures and seminars throughout the year, and participate in dental study clubs. I also serve as a clinical participant in testing and evaluating new dental technologies and enjoy mentoring prospective dental students who are considering a career in dentistry.

Family and Community

My wife Jenn and I met while attending Pepperdine University, where she played on the soccer team. Today, she stays busy working in health technology and supporting our children's many sports and activities. Our children, Owen and Emmarie, are active in school sports and keep us on the go. Our beagle, Norman, is the unofficial greeter of the family. He loves meeting every dog he passes and is happiest when he's either sleeping or eating.

When I'm not in the office, you'll often find me on the golf course, behind a camera taking photos, or spending time with family and friends.

Having grown up in this community, giving back has always been important to me. I enjoy supporting local organizations, schools, sports teams, and community events, many of which involve my patients and their families. Our family is active at Compass City Church, and we've spent many years coaching, volunteering, and supporting youth sports and activities throughout the area. Being able to serve and stay connected to the community that helped shape me is one of the most rewarding parts of my life.
